Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Media & Entertainment team, focusing on Flow Capture, a robust cloud-based platform designed for digital dailies and review. This role will report to the Sr Director of the Flow Capture Team and will manage one direct report based in Vancouver. The position is remote-based in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy : Collaborate with leaders to define and execute the vision, strategy, and operational plans for Flow Capture.
- Roadmap Ownership : Develop and manage actionable product roadmaps, prioritizing impactful workflows and enhancements while managing risks and dependencies.
- Customer Advocacy : Act as the customer-facing leader, engaging regularly with customers and partners to inform and validate product strategy.
- Cross-Functional Alignment : Work closely with leads across Development, Design and Architecture to ensure complete alignment between business goals and development work.
- Continuous Discovery : Conduct ongoing customer discovery and validation to inform iterative development and maximize impact.
- Data-Based Decision-Making : Prioritize across multiple initiatives with competing priorities using customer insight, usability studies, research, and market analysis.
- Industry & Market Expertise : Track global trends in content production and technology, maintaining competitive knowledge and guiding innovation.
- Developer Community Strategy : Cultivate a developer community strategy, fostering engagement and feedback from production artists and engineers.
- Problem-Solving : Translate customer needs and technical challenges into actionable story maps and solutions, guiding development priorities.
- Quality & Compliance : Evaluate technology delivered by Development for technical completion, performance, quality, and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience : 10+ years in product management or development with significant exposure to media & entertainment (feature film, animation, or game development frameworks and methodologies).Collaboration Skills : Proven ability to collaborate across teams and organizations to deliver integrated solutions.Strategic Decision-Making : Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources, make difficult trade-offs, and prioritize effectively.Exceptional Communication : Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, capable of engaging both executive stakeholders and external customers.Simplifying Complexity : Adept at breaking down complex ideas into concise, impactful insights for diverse audiences.Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications
Deep Domain Knowledge : Expertise in Cloud Collaboration for film and TV production workflows and technology, with a strong point of view on customer pain points and solutions related to review.Experience Managing Projects in a Large Organization and Working in Agile / SCRUM Environments.Experience with Web Development on Industry-Scale Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).Familiarity with Statistical Analytics Platforms and Concepts.A Strong Grasp of Competitors’ Products, Their Strengths, Weaknesses, and Target Markets.About Autodesk Media & Entertainment
