Job Description

Our client, a globally recognized leader in the construction and infrastructure industry, has an immediate opening for a Senior Construction Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountability for the entire construction project of a major infrastructure facility, from pre-construction phase to completion
  • Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day construction activities and the successful execution of construction activity
  • Provide direction during the construction process from preconstruction to final stages of construction
  • Provide accurate estimates for all supplies and resources
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to ensure effective coordination of all aspects of the project
  • Manage construction project progress and providing reports on timelines, progress, and adjustments
  • Oversee pre-construction budgeting / schedule stage, procurement, design compliance and contract closeout
  • Develop cost-effective schedules for completion of projects
  • Solicit bids, evaluate proposals, and select the best contractors and suppliers
  • Verify all applicable project permits are secured in accordance with the project requirements
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with construction plans and specifications
  • Track key project milestones and tasks
  • Negotiate and prepare contracts, purchase and change orders
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, and government guidelines and regulations are met

Key Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven track record of success as a Construction Project Manager or similar construction management role
  • Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to manage diverse personalities
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and positive demeanor with all stakeholders
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
