There is an opening for an Accounting Clerk through Robert Half, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders / vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A / P) and Accounts Receivable (A / R).

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable : apply cash receipt, process daily invoices / credit, and help with collection of past due balance
• Overall accounting : help with G / L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
• Help Accounts Payable : A / P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
• Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts;

prepare correction documents as required

• Post financial figures to journals and ledgers
• Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
• Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

Job Requirements :

• Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
• Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Excel experience
• Adeptness in account reconciliation
• Outstanding data entry skills
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
• BS / BA in Accounting or related field preferred
