We are recruiting a Junior Controls Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- All PLC’s requiring upgrade (hardware and software safety) will be identified by the automotive client
- The project will include oversight and leadership for the installation and launch phase at the clients manufacturing facility
- Coordinating and collecting all data and documentation required and loading into the PDS system
- Ensure configuration and validation of Uploads, Downloads, Compares and Notifications are functioning properly
- Perform Controls drawing reviews and editing as required and approved
- Working with the client and their IT department to ensure connectivity, update worksheets and validate data against quality reports
- Maintain revision history of all quality reports and updates by the quality and control engineers
- Ensure all Industrial PC backups are completed and up to date
- Ensure that Solid Core is installed and working according to the clients specifications on all PC's
- Attend weekly meetings with the client's Controls management to provide status updates and instructions
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering or Diploma with relevant hands on working experience3-5 years of hands on Controls experienceMust be proficient in Fusion 360Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal programming (v14) is preferred but not a requirementStrong coordination and follow up skills are required in order to keep the project moving on all deliverablesTravel may be required to vendor sites as required by the client. All candidates will be required to travel freelyPossess strong technical knowledge of electrical / controls systems and the ability to apply specifications and software templatesExperience in PLC and HMI programming and Ethernet / Profi Net networksExcellent problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skillsPrior manufacturing / production controls experience (power train preferred)Computer skills, including MS office products, programming software, network connectivityCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS
