Job Summary

The Team

The Client Services team in the Interior North Regional Office is part of the Services to Adults division, dedicated to safeguarding the financial and legal well-being of adults who can no longer manage these matters themselves. This established team consists of 6 Case Managers, each paired with a Financial Analyst, alongside supportive administrative staff. Case Managers collaborate with experts in finance, law, taxation, investments, and real property to protect vulnerable individuals from financial abuse and ensure their best interests are served. This is a client-focused, team-oriented environment where every member plays a vital role in supporting some of the community's most at-risk individuals.

The Role

This role provides critical, client-centered support to vulnerable adults facing complex challenges, such as diseases of aging, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, mental health issues, and substance use. You will develop and implement individualized case management plans, manage client budgets, protect assets, and provide guidance on financial, legal, and personal matters while promoting independence and quality of life. This position requires empathy, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to navigate diverse client needs, including resolving conflicts, mediating disputes, and collaborating with various partners to ensure the best outcomes for clients in a respectful and inclusive manner.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Degrees in social sciences discipline may be considered (e.g. psychology, sociology, gerontology, or related field)
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent (within the last 10 years) related experience working in a setting oriented towards providing services to people with disabilities, a mental illness, developmental disability, traumatic brain injury or degenerative conditions affecting brain functions (e.g. dementia)
  • Experience in case management to effectively and independently manage a complex caseload.

Preference may be given to applicants with :

  • Master's in Social Work.
  • Experience in financial management.

    An eligibility list may be established for future temporary and / or permanent vacancies.

    Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
