Position Summary
As a Manager, Disability Management, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. This is a Work from Home position. Your home office work environment will need to be safe by Occupational Health and Safety standards, quiet, with few distractions and overall conducive to working productively, effectively and confidentially. You will require consistent internet capability of at least 25 Mbps, and preferably 50 Mbps, download speed. We will provide you with a computer and, where a phone is required to perform your work, we will provide a phone.
What you'll be doing
- Ensure team is appropriately staffed at all times
- Provide disability management expertise to the team and organization
- Forecast and manage change to ensure profitability and stabilization of the organization
- Work collaboratively with Homewood Health staff as required on integration and service delivery activities
- Ensure quality assurance standards are maintained at all times
- Recruit, select, coach, motivate and assist with training the Disability Management team
- Provide performance management to the team, including driving targets for staff and reviewing their professional development, as well as addressing performance gaps and coaching employees when needed
- Help the team to achieve goals by providing guidance to assist them in fulfilling the requirements of their job
- Coordinate and lead staff meetings and functions
- Partner with other Managers and senior leaders for the optimal development of the organization and staff
- Address complex customer situations and account needs
- Assist in developing processes for customer accounts; work through process changes with customer and Account Executive
- Respond to complex customer information requests
- Participate in business development activities as assigned by Director
- Assist with RFP proposals and presentation meetings
- Manage day-to-day relationships with the customer and other stakeholders
- Oversee projects and ensure deliverables are met, as required
What we're looking for
Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Return to Work Coordinator (CRTWC)5+ years of Disability management - mandatoryStrong knowledge and understanding of disability management practicesExcellent leadership and coaching skillsSuperior people management skills to motivate a teamDemonstrated ability to think and act with strategic and tactical agilityStrong presentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening skills. Highly developed organizational and time management skillsStrong project management skillsExcellent business acumenAbove average proficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet and emailFluency in French is an assetPrior experience in STD / LTD and / or WCB is an assetWhy work with us
