Description

Major Job Functions :

  • Act as a Product Owner with development team(s) (60%)Create and manage a backlog of well-groomed user stories for the features that you are actively working onEnsure that stories are completed to an acceptable level, have the correct UX / UI inputs and are in line with our product strategyEnsure that the definition of ready and definition of done are met to a high level of quality
  • Product Management Support (25%)Work with the product management team to understand and advance the productWork on the longer term roadmap by providing input into features and epicsDrive the wider demonstrations for the platform to the wider Finning business and all stakeholders
  • Documentation (10%)Provide comprehensive documentation on the features you are buildingEnsure that contributors to the creation of documentation are managed to ensure that all aspects are delivered technical, support and runbook etc.
  • Process Improvements (5%)Suggest operational improvements to our development pipeline from planning through to executionImplement best practice and ensure that colleagues operate to a high standardEnsure that process is adhered to, ensuring that a quality delivery plan can be followed
  • Ensure development teams have clear and concise user stories for at least 2 sprints
  • Best practices and recommended Finning standards are adhered to
  • Delivery of multiple features are balanced and delivered according to previously agreed timelines
  • Estimations for feature work include input from relevant professional practices in Finning such as architecture, UX, UI, and QA.

Qualifications :

  • 8-10+ years of equivalent experience
  • Seasoned agile practitioner
  • Customer journey mapping
  • Roadmap experience
  • In depth experience with in depth requirements gathering
  • A minimum of degree level education or the equivalent relevant industry experience
  • SAFE or Agile certification

Nice-To-Have Skills :

  • Experience working with both Feature Development and Support squads
  • A knowledge of current and emerging technology
  • SAFE framework and agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of UX and CX
  • Wireframing and rapid prototyping
  • QA and UAT practices
  • Use of analytics to drive product enhancements

Soft Skills :

  • Skilled negotiator and proven track record of dealing with senior level stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience of a commercial mindset
  • Product owner skillset
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills. Concise and clear written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt to the needs of specific audiences
  • Solid time management, planning and prioritization skills, with an ability to manage multiple task and priorities concurrently
  • Solid organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Resilience, with the ability to adapt under changing business priorities
  • Ability to continue to learn and develop
