Responsibilities

• Installs, programs & tests a variety of non‑routine building automation systems and equipment; provides training and technical support to customers.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, manuals and specs to determine installation procedures; interprets wiring diagrams and repairs equipment using standard test instruments and hand tools.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance, identify malfunctions, and write non‑routine programs.
• Consults with supervisors to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance, and warranty work.
• Advises supervisors regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques, and product improvement suggestions.
• Executes technical aspects of multiple projects : programming, graphics development, start‑up, certification testing, customer training, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Identifies potential project risks, communicates them, and assists in strategy development to minimize impact and keep project schedules and budgets on track.
• Co‑ordinates closely with Project Managers or supervisors, recommends quality improvements, and identifies scope changes.
• Completes accurate and detailed service reports for invoicing and job cost tracking.
• Provides technical support to end users when applicable and seeks guidance from experienced staff or vendors.
• Mentors other staff members by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
• Maintains the highest level of customer service to ensure Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.
