Role Description
Reporting directly to the City Manager, the Director of Engineering is responsible for managing the Capital Works Program and supporting the Municipal Public Works Services. This technical role involves organizing, planning, and controlling various municipal infrastructure projects related to land development, transportation, buildings, water, and sewer systems, ensuring they adhere to established budgets and engineering standards.

Your Qualifications
As the Director of Engineering, you are a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with knowledge in roads, water and sewer construction, maintenance management, waste management, municipal drains, and provincial subsidy processes. You have a strong understanding of the intricacies of municipal government and being community-facing. You bring demonstrated leadership, supervision, team building, and project management experience, including handling tenders and contracts. You will play a pivotal role in directly improving the city's infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
