Our dynamic client in Calgary is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join their established team. As the Staff Accountant your day to day responsibilities of this role may include, but not be limited to :

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
• Assist in implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls under corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

Job Requirements :

The successful Staff Accountant will possess the following :

• Previous experience as a Staff Accountant
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Special consideration to candidates with personal and corporate tax experience preferably small to medium size businesses
