Description

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Carpenter to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Edmonton, Alberta , contingent on ATCO winning a proposed project. Opportunities may also be available in Calgary, Alberta. The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, restoring, and installing structural wood / steel work and related materials.

Responsibilities

• Structural inspections of the building envelope
• Door systems and rekeying – installs locks, doorknobs, and other building hardware
• General repair work including maintaining doors, floors, windows, partitions, ceilings, and exteriors of buildings; builds and installs door and window framing
• Construction and renovation work, roofing, crawl spaces
• Build wooden / steel structures such as partitions, building, office additions, does sheeting and rough carpentry on the buildings as well as final finishes
• Perform hand and bench work in carpentry workshop; operate planers, joiners, drill presses, power saws, sanders, and other woodworking machinery
• Repair and maintain hand tools, saws, and other carpentry tools
• Other duties as assigned
