Job Title : Senior Architectural Project Manager

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking an Senior Architectural Project Manager on behalf of one of our clients, a leading architectural firm known for its commitment to quality design, client service, and sustainable practices.

With decades of experience in Western Canada, they are recognized for their expertise in diverse project types including residential, mixed-use, retail, office, and healthcare.

About the Role :

You will be responsible for coordinating projects and leading project teams through all stages, from initial design to construction completion.

The role requires a strong background in building technology and a proven ability to manage complex projects independently.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and oversee architectural projects from design to construction, coordinating with clients, engineers, and contractors.
• Guide project teams in preparing construction documents and provide construction services including site reviews.
• Leverage expertise in wood frame, steel, and concrete construction to deliver efficient, high-quality working drawings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes including the BC Building Code (Part 3, Part 9) and ASHRAE 90.1, with attention to sustainable design.
• Lead project communication and coordination among stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Effectively manage project scope, schedules, and budgets while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications :

• Graduate of a certified Building Technology or Architectural program from a recognized institution.
• 5-10 years of industry experience in Canada, with a preference for experience in BC.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including team coordination during design and construction phases.
• Proven experience in multi-family residential, mixed-use, and townhome projects.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit and Sketchup is a plus.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and align with the client’s core values.
