Senior Accountant

What you’ll do

• Review and support the accounting functions for asset maintenance, lease administration, and Capital Project reporting
• Work closely with team members to complete month end close processes including accruals, fixed asset close, and lease accounting
• Support the execution and development of internal control processes
• Contribute to enhancing financial reporting processes and systems
• Prepare journal entries for posting to the general ledger, perform detailed variance analysis, and complete account reconciliations
• Mentor accountants on internal systems and processes

What you bring to our team

• Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis
• The capability to work on a variety of tasks by maintaining organized habits and attention to detail
• The ability to analyze information objectively and make a reasoned judgement
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree in finance or accounting and a CPA designation
• Current digital skills, including the use of sophisticated database and spreadsheet software within a Windows-based operating environment
