About the Role

Mount Royal University Cougars Athletics and Recreation is seeking a flexible Facility Attendant to support the operation of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities. This role includes facility checks event set-up and take-down equipment and space preparation and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility checks ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the recreation facility.

• Assist with set up and take down for Cougars varsity games and special events (indoors and outdoors).

• Ready facilities and equipment for external and internal university bookings.

• Assist with cleaning and maintaining recreation and fitness equipment.

• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the recreation facilities.

• Assist with outdoor recreation facility maintenance and operations.

• Provide laundry services for various university departments.

• Provide superior customer service to all facility users.

• Provide general support to all recreation staff.

Qualifications

• Priority given to current MRU students

• Availability to work evenings or weekends or holidays (provide availability with application)

• Reliable transportation as shifts may vary between 6 am and 11 pm

• Standard First Aid and CPR (within 2months of hiring)

• Positive customer service skills with an open attitude to working with a diverse population

• Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills

• Ability to establish effective working relationships and work as a member of a team

Salary: $15.00 - $18.87 per hour
