Staffinity is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer for a clientlocated in the Windsor area. This is a permanent position with hourly rate,bonus, benefits, and RRSP matching.
The hourlyrate is $35-40 DOE and overtime will be paid for anything over 44 hours perweek. There will be regular local travel and 1 week away roughly every 6 months.
The ideal candidate will have experience with facilities design.
Responsibilities :
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
- Prepare detailed structural design drawings and specifications.
- Perform hand calculations.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Assist with project management.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer License preferred.
- 5+ years experience.
- 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry
- Strong AutoCAD skills.
- Experience with steel detailing software preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Highly motivated, with superb interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Clear communication skills, written and spoken.
- Familiar with Canadian and American Structural Engineering designstandards and codes
- Facilities engineering experience is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.

- Able to manage several projects simultaneously.
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
- Must be eligible to obtain a work permit in the United States.
- Be willing and able to cross the border, for required support of US customers.
