The Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Division of Cardiology invites applications from outstanding Cardiologists with expertise in Clinical Cardiology. This position is based at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) which is a University of British Columbia (UBC)-affiliated teaching hospital.

The VGH Division of Cardiology is actively involved in the care of patients with a wide spectrum of cardiovascular disease with catchment from throughout British Columbia. The position at VGH will primarily involve ambulatory general cardiology clinic and the inpatient cardiology consultation and ward service.

Applicants must possess RCPSC designation in Internal Medicine and Cardiology or their equivalents and must be eligible for licensure in the Province of British Columbia. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and research and possess exceptional work ethics and collegiality.

This role will also be a clinical faculty position within the Division of Cardiology at the University of British Columbia (UBC). As part of the UBC Division of Cardiology’s academic focus, the successful candidate is expected to substantially support the development and growth of the UBC Cardiology education and research programs. The Division of Cardiology will support an appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor or higher, however clinical faculty appointments at UBC are assigned at a rank determined by the Academic Appointments, Reappointments, Promotions and Tenure (AARPT) Committee of the UBC Department of Medicine.

• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC)
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Desired
