Millwrighting for a favourite Canadian food manufacturer based from a world-class facility in Toronto OR Hamilton, Ontario, as part of the engineering team you are responsible for ensuring that plant, machinery and equipment is capable of meeting the day-to-day company needs.

This Industrial Millwright job in Concord / Toronto or Hannon / Hamilton itself, on flexible / continental shifts with the following highlights :

• $41.00-$43.00 / hr Base Salary

More specifically your role will include :

• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine
• work procedures.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum,
• hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment, identifying
• irregularities and malfunctions.
• Adjust machinery, making repairs or replacing defective parts as
• needed.
• Operate machine tools such as lathes and mill machines to fabricate
• parts for machinery overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
• Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand
• and power tools and welding equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of processing
• equipment, ensuring efficient repair / replacement results.
• Optimize equipment for safety, efficiency, and reliability,
• participating in continuous improvement projects.
• Comply with all legislative and company policies regarding food
• safety, health and safety, and environmental procedures.
• Service, clean, and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on
• all production and bakery equipment.
• Improve equipment function through design improvements.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area, ensuring compliance with
• company health and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

You will have

To be successful as an Industrial Millwright , you will have a healthy mix of the following :

• Industrial Millwright 433A.
• 2-5 years' industrial mechanical experience, preferably in food industry.
• Proven track record working with mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic fields
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers.
• Ability to work well within a team and independently.
• Capable of occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Availability for a flexible shift schedule, including day / afternoon / night shifts.
