Aujourd'hui, CAT est un conglomérat qui possède des entreprises au Canada, aux États-Unis et au Mexique. L'entreprise est à la recherche d'un candidat dynamique pour se joindre à son équipe de comptabilité et de finances pour le poste suivant à Coteau-du-lac.

En tant que contrôleur adjoint, vous travaillerez sous la supervision de notre contrôleur afin d'assurer le bon déroulement des opérations comptables quotidiennes.

Responsabilités

  • En collaboration avec le contrôleur, assister les activités quotidiennes (comptes fournisseurs, facturation, rapports financiers) ;
  • Préparer l'analyse mensuelle / la réconciliation (interprétation des données, validation, précision).
  • Gérer les rapports périodiques et les obligations légales ;
  • Aider à la préparation des budgets ;
  • Soutenir les audits internes et externes ;
  • Maintenir, établir et fournir des recommandations sur les contrôles, les meilleures pratiques et les améliorations ;
  • Assurer le leadership, la formation et le développement des équipes financières et comptables
  • Participer à des projets ad hoc selon les besoins.

Compétences et qualifications

  • 5 à 8 ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire ;
  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité avec certification CPA ;
  • Esprit critique, sens du détail et capacité à résoudre les problèmes ;
  • Excellentes compétences en communication pour assurer une communication interdépartementale favorable avec les collègues sur site et hors site ;
  • Bilingue (français, anglais) ;
  • Excellentes compétences en matière de leadership ;
  • Capacité à gérer différents délais serrés dans un environnement en évolution rapide, sens de l'organisation, capacité d'adaptation ;
  • La connaissance de l'industrie du transport est un atout.

Today CAT is a conglomerate with companies in Canada, US and Mexico and is looking for a dynamic candidate to join its Accounting and Finance Team for the following opportunity in Coteau-du-lac.

As our Assistant Controller, you'll work under the supervision of our Controller to ensure the smooth running of the day to day accounting operations.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Controller, assist daily activities (accounts payable, billing, financial reporting colleagues);
  • Prepare monthly analysis / reconciliation (Interpretation of data, validation, accuracy)
  • Manage periodic reporting and required legal fillings;
  • Assist in the preparation of the budgets;
  • Support internal and external audits;
  • Maintain, establish, provide recommendations on controls, best practices, improvements;
  • Provide leadership, training, and development to finance and accounting teams;
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.

Skill and qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Bachelors degree in accounting with CPA certification;
  • Critical thinking, detail oriented and problem-solving ability;
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure favorable inter departmental communication with on site & off site colleagues;
  • Bilingual (French, English);
  • Excellent leadership skills;
  • Ability to manage different tight deadlines in a fast paste environment, organisation skill, adaptability;
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry is an asset.
