About the Role :

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead critical technology initiatives within the Alberta Courts. This role requires a strong technical background and exceptional project management skills to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project Planning and Execution : Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, technical teams, and external vendors.
  • Risk Management : Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure project success.
  • Team Leadership : Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Technical Expertise : Understand and apply relevant technologies and methodologies to drive project outcomes.
  • Reporting and Analysis : Provide regular project status updates and insightful reports to stakeholders.
  • Change Management : Effectively manage change within the project scope and organization.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in a complex IT environment
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira)
  • Experience with technology implementation and upgrade projects
  • Knowledge of government IT standards and regulations (preferred)
