Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Marine Operations, Logistics, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in marine operations or a related field Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail Proficiency in marine operations software and systems Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities Thorough knowledge of maritime regulations and safety protocols Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Relevant marine certifications (, STCW) preferred Familiarity with port operations and shipping procedures Strong understanding of marine industry practices and terminology Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing various aspects of our Marine operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Coordinate daily Marine operations activities, including vessel scheduling, cargo handling, and crew management
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of vessel movements, cargo operations, and related documentation
- Liaise with internal departments, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company policies
- Analyze operational data and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency
- Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures for marine operations
- Respond to and resolve operational issues in a timely and effective manner
- Collaborate with the safety team to ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and cost-effectiveness
