Multi Family Interior Superintendent

On behalf of our clients, Matchbox Consulting is seeking a Finishing Superintendent.

Who You Are : As Site Superintendent, you are a leader, coach, and mentor, ensuring project completion in accordance with plans and specifications while prioritizing quality, safety, and successful project delivery.

Desired Personality Traits : You are down-to-earth, hardworking, approachable, take ownership, honest, and analytical. You come with solutions and remain composed under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a multi-family Superintendent
• Willingness to oversee the project from rough-in and window installation to completion as the Interiors Superintendent
• Familiarity with Procore software
• Red Seal Carpenter certification or prior carpentry experience
• PMP or CM designation (analytical mindset)

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee all construction phases including civil, concrete, framing, building systems, finishing, inspections, and close-out
• Thoroughly understand plans, specifications, work schedules, and procedures related to change orders and claims
• Maintain strong communication with site staff, sub-trades, consultants, engineers, and authorities
• Collaborate with the Project Manager on scheduling, site management, and reporting
• Ensure quality control measures are implemented and maintained
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and address emerging quality issues proactively
• Coordinate municipal, provincial, and contract inspections
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe work environment
• Assist with recruiting, training, and developing staff
• Conduct pre-construction work for future projects
• Mentor junior employees

Education and Experience :

• Red Seal Carpenter certification or carpentry experience preferred
• PMP or CM designation preferred
