Our client in NE Calgary is a publicly traded entity seeking an experienced Corporate Controller for a 6-month contract to step into a critical role during a period of organizational transition. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who thrives in a collaborative culture and brings strong technical expertise in IFRS reporting, consolidation, and financial oversight.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and IFRS‑compliant processes.
• Oversee the monthly close cycle, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial results.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A, AIF, and other continuous disclosure filings.
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal control frameworks.
• Lead, coach, and support a skilled accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous learning.
• Oversee external audit processes, managing auditor relationships and ensuring timely completion of audit deliverables.
• Identify financial risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to protect the organization.
