This position is located in Borden, Ontario

The Records Control Specialist will, amongst other things, play a crucial role in maintaining safe airworthiness of all CH146 aircraft at the assigned unit through close monitoring and management of all aircraft maintenance record sets.

The Records Control Specialist will be reporting to the on-site BTCL aircraft maintenance supervisor.

  • Verify and review all assigned aircraft maintenance records to ensure that all maintenance data recorded is accurate and is in accordance with the Canadian Forces airworthiness regulations and policies.
  • Manage individual special inspections, modifications or special information instructions on assigned aircraft. Provide performance statistics associated with these elements to the Squadron Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Officer or to the BTCL CH146 Senior Maintenance Manager as required.
  • When required, carry out the transfer of maintenance data on the ADAM system from commercial work orders.
  • Manage the aircraft maintenance induction schedule and review ADAM documentation requirements prior to aircraft induction into maintenance.
  • Notify the on-site BTCL Material Representative of parts requirements prior to induction.
  • Maintain statistics related to 100% audit findings and accuracy of the maintenance records and submit to the BTCL Senior Maintenance Manager.
  • Participate in the conduct of annual audits by the Canadian Governmental Program Quality Assurance section, and those conducted by the Department of National Defense.
  • Support the on-site Supervisor with all Flight Safety (FS) occurrences reporting and investigation.
  • When required, participate in CH146 Aircraft Maintenance Control and Records Officer briefing sessions.
  • Provide assistance to the Squadron’s AMCRO section.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Canadian Government Programs, or by the BTCL Senior Maintenance Manager for the CH146.

  • Gérer des inspections uniques, des modifications ou des demandes particulières relatives aux aéronefs affectés.
  • Selon les besoins, transmettre des statistiques de performances associées à ces éléments à l’officier ingénierie d’entretien de l'escadron ou au gestionnaire supérieur de la maintenance de BTCL pour le CH146.
  • Gérer les cédules d'entretien des aéronefs et de la revue de la documentation ADAM avant le début des activités d’entretien sur les aéronefs.
  • Informer le représentant sur site de BTCL des requis de pièces de remplacement avant le début des travaux.
  • Compiler les statistiques relatives aux résultats de la vérification de et maintenir l'exactitude des registres d'entretien soumis au gestionnaire supérieur de la maintenance de BTCL.
  • Participer aux audits annuels de l’assurance qualité des programmes gouvernementaux canadiens ainsi qu’à ceux du Ministère de la Défense Nationale.
  • Soutenir le gestionnaire du site face à la sécurité des vols (FS), rapport d’événements et enquête.
  • Lorsque requis, participer aux séances d'information de l’officier du contrôle des registres du CH146.
  • Supporterlasectiondel’officierducontrôledesregistresdel’escadron (OCRMA).
  • Effectuer les autres tâches assignées par le directeur, programmes gouvernementaux Canadiens, ou par le gestionnaire supérieur de la maintenance de BTCL pour le CH146.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Hold or have held a Level A or Level C certification in the Canadian Forces as an aircraft technician, preferably on the CH146 aircraft.
  • Have completed a High School diploma. College degree in aircraft maintenance is preferred.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a position of aircraft technician (Level A) or maintenance team lead (Level C) in the Canadian Forces.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of prior experience in the Canadian Forces as a member of an AMCRO section, preferably on the CH146.
  • In depth familiarity and experience with the Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTO) is essential, particularly C-05-005-P04 / AM-001 Aircraft Maintenance Record Set.

Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

This offer within the Canadian Government Programs Department is conditional on obtaining and maintaining the NATO security level required for the position.

Exigences du poste

  • Détenir ou avoir détenu une certification de niveau A ou niveau C à titre de technicien d’aéronef des forces canadiennes, préférablement sur l’appareil CH 146.
  • Détenir un diplôme d’études secondaires. DEC en entretien d’aéronef est un atout important.
  • Avoir plus de huit (8) années d’expérience à titre de technicien d’aéronef (niveau A) ou à titre de chef d’équipe de maintenance (niveau C) au sein des forces canadiennes.
  • Avoir plus de trois (3) années d’expérience à titre de membre d’une équipe du contrôle des registres avec les forces, préférablement sur le CH146.
  • Une connaissance et expérience avec les ordres techniques de Forces armées canadiennes est essentielle, particulièrement C-05-005-P04 / AM-001 Registres d’entretien de l’aéronef.

Toute autre combinaison de scolarité et d’expérience jugée équivalente pourra être considérée.
