Job Summary
You will be responsible for preparing and serving food to residents or patients in an assisted living or medical facility.
Responsibilities
Assist in basic food preparation and serve meals in accordance with therapeutic diets and portion standards.Set, clear, clean, and sanitize dining spaces.Maintain and perform cleaning duties according to the posted schedule.Monitor and restock service areas.Observe HACCP guidelines to ensure safe food handling and preparation.Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines when using chemicals, cleaning and sanitizing agents.Support special function catering as delegated.Qualifications
Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.Previous experience as a dietary aide or in hospitality and customer service.Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.Skill in preparing meals according to instructions.Good time‑management skills and ability to multitask.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.Compass Group Canada is committed to nurturing a diverse workforce representative of the communities in which we operate.
