Job Overview
The Cash Management Specialist is responsible for maintaining and growing a crucial segment of our commercial book of business with an emphasis on full service ‘home bank’ relationships with community‑based organizations. This includes acting as the face of FirstOntario in the community with non‑profits, expanding our unique condo corporation banking program, and managing and growing key deposit relationships within our commercial membership.
Responsibilities
Grow and cement FirstOntario’s status as the premier partner for non‑profits in the banking sector by forming partnerships and winning banking relationships.Establish yourself in the NFP sector with a consistent presence and reputation for excellence and integrity.Reflect FirstOntario’s existing community impact with existing partners, and build on our own public image as an exemplary corporate citizen.Champion true partner banking with our members and prospects including all FirstOntario business lines in opportunities.Expand our condominium banking program that serves a growing segment of our communities.Leverage our products and services to win full‑service banking with property managers.Grow our deposit base through condo reserve fund investments, including managing active investment plans for condo boards.Attend industry trade shows to build relationships and win new business.Attract, retain, and manage key depositor relationships as part of your business‑as‑usual activity.Support our Business Banking Group team members with cash management and deposit services, sales, and activities and act as a subject matter expert.Believe in our products and services and confidently communicate to business members and future business members how we can improve their financial lives.Aid in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns that will help achieve Business Banking targets.Actively develop and execute a strategy that involves you in the branch network and local communities to raise visibility and generate new business.Identify areas of opportunity within sales targets in a timely manner and develop and implement action plans to close any gaps.Proactively identify product or service gaps for our membership.Maximize revenue opportunities without compromising excellent member experience.Analyze and measure performance of campaigns and programs while being flexible to modification to increase our share of wallet, acquisition and retention of memberships.Play an active role in the development and maintenance of your pipeline by leveraging your networks and using an effective prospecting strategy.Stay ahead of the curve when it comes to best practices and standards for Business Banking and Cash Management.Be conscious of brand guidelines and use business banking marketing materials that seamlessly align with other business lines.Not only adhere to all regulatory, risk, and compliance standards, but help contribute to the level of governance excellence that FirstOntario regularly displays.Leverage and support our administrative roles to ensure a seamless member experience.Manage multiple priorities with strict deadlines.Identify and elevate compliance risks and proactively work towards solutions for future opportunities.Consider health & safety as a primary concern to ensure the overall well‑being of self and others.Perform other duties we may need you to do.Required Skills & Qualifications
University Degree or College Diploma in Business, Economics, Marketing or related fields.3–5 years’ experience in Financial Services.Well‑versed in business banking and / or cash management best practices and methodologies.Comfort and knowledge of the financial markets and their impact on members and prospects.Experience in the NFP sector, either directly through employment or indirectly through client relationships or volunteerism.Excellent relationship management of current and prospective members and quick response to requests for service.Demonstrated sales management skills in setting and monitoring sales targets, plans, pipelines and activities.Proficiency with MS Office.Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate business needs, networking and community involvement.Enjoy being on the road and traveling to support our membership.Awareness of and ability to mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and procedures.Location & Travel
Must be available to work in Hamilton. Some travel within region and flexibility to be discussed in interview.
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range : $59,078 to $81,233 annually.
