Regional Director, BCBA

This position will be responsible for a territory that includes Reston, Ashburn, Alexandria, and Midlothian Virginia.

As a Regional Director With Little Leaves You Will

The Regional Director is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and is responsible for the oversight of 3 5 centers as assigned in their geographical region.

The Regional Director assumes overall clinical and operational oversight and implementation of initiatives of their programs under the guidance of the Territory Vice President (TVP).

The Regional Director manages the quality of care and service within their programs and the performance and productivity of staff in accordance with clinical procedures and using professional judgement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities (40%)

  • Monitor assigned center budget and review with center directors on a predetermined schedule to meet monthly budgeted targets.
  • Manage assigned centers to ensure maximization of client utilization (90%), clinical quality, and use of resources (includes systems to monitor employee productivity, financial targets (i.

e., client census), customer satisfaction, and service quality).

  • Comply with and ensure operational alignment and team member compliance with federal and state regulations in accordance with Full Bloom practices and mission.
  • Evaluate performance of employees and ensure systems are in place for ongoing performance monitoring and feedback (including ensuring employees are working in alignment with their work performance standards).
  • Ensure accurate records of activities for billing and individual clinical records per regulatory body and state guidelines.
  • In collaboration with marketing department (with TVP), ensure appropriate marketing focus and participate in marketing, public relations, and fundraising activities as required.

Supervision and Training (20%)

  • Serves as a leader of the clinical team in assessing and supporting clients and staff within the center.
  • Support CD on an ongoing basis to assist with assignment of caseloads and ensure appropriate staffing ratios and clinician caseloads.
  • Maintains caseload as needed (SBA or CD vacancy) and serves as senior BCBA for peer review and problem-solving complex case presentation.
  • Ensure quality of service delivery and that assessment informs treatment protocols or curriculum by providing support to CDs and SBA as requested.
  • Ensures all necessary materials for completing clinical work are available for staff.
  • Provide services or supervision in a timely manner as specified by the division by measuring fidelity, rapport, and providing support to teams.

Performance Management and Professional Development (20%)

  • Ensure staff meet competency requirements (as set forth by the clinical services team) and are following responsibilities as outlined in the individual work performance standards, state, and federal regulations.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide professional development opportunities at pre-determined intervals from the date of employment and troubleshoot remediation plans in conjunction with CD, as necessary.
  • Coordinate regular center team meetings and attend divisional meetings as needed.
  • Review incident reports and provide guidance to Center Directors to address client and employee events.
  • Participate in monthly clinical and operational meetings as assigned.

Quality Assurance (20%)

  • In collaboration with VP Clinical Services, implements clinical priorities and direction for centers in the region.
  • Ensures compliance with clinical and regulatory standards set forth by the BACB, CASP, and state regulatory bodies as applicable.
  • Acts as a clinical resource for centers, including peer review, case conceptualization / formulation, and research review.

Provides leadership, supervision, and support that is needed to ensure quality services meeting the mission and values of Little Leaves Behavioral Services to each center in the assigned region.

Educational Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and licensure; Ph.D. preferred.
  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst for at least 5 years.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and motivating multidisciplinary teams to provide services to children with autism or other developmental disabilities.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience reviewing budgets and monitoring operational and clinical data.
  • Demonstrated intelligence and poise with excellent verbal, written, and live presentation communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively across stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge of best practices for working with children with autism including familiarity with CASP autism guidelines, state regulations, and payer specifications (e.

g., insurance guidelines).
