Responsibilities : Safety
Safety
Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety, ensuring the highest priority is placed on minimizing risk to employees.
Lead by example to ensure all field crews comply with IHSA and OSHA regulations.
Ensure employees participate actively in weekly safety meetings, FLHA’s, JHA’s, and regular inspections.
Oversee daily operations to promote safety, quality, and performance.
Report all accidents and incidents to the Operations Manager with accountability.
Production
Oversee daily operations to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and performance.
Manage field crews to ensure a well-structured schedule for manpower, equipment, and resources.
Equip field crews with necessary safety devices, tools, and equipment.
Ensure daily production reports are thoroughly completed.
Set daily production targets and address any deficiencies.
Manage job tasks, schedules, and client relationships effectively.
Administration
Handle purchase orders, packing slips, expenses, logbooks, and other administrative tasks.
Maintain daily communication through emails.
Conduct daily 3 : 30 pm scheduling calls with project management.
Manage daily 6 am crew dispatches from the yard.
Conduct and support OSHA legislative inspections.
Attend annual and industry-related training sessions.

Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
Ability to manage multiple sites within 150 km of the GTA.
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in computer applications such as Corfix, SiteDocs, and time / attendance tracking systems.
Experience working with unionized individuals is an asset.
Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on business processes.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Major Responsibilities : Safety Compliance : Understand, participate in, and support all safety programs and policies within the Milton manufacturing location.
Machinery Maintenance : Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all production machinery, including high-speed packaging lines, conveyors, pumps, motors, kettles, and various other processing equipment.
Continuous Monitoring : Continually identify, report, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance. Continuous Improvement : Participate in initiatives to reduce equipment breakdowns and increase operating efficiency by investigating, recommending, and executing modifications.
Equipment Adjustment : Exercise judgment in making necessary adjustments on equipment to maintain safe operations and quality control standards.
Record Keeping : Keep accurate maintenance records and complete all work order paperwork in a timely manner. Collaboration with Engineering : Work closely with the Engineering department on machine modifications and the installation of new machinery and production systems.
Team Collaboration : Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality product production while maintaining budgeted efficiencies.
Share best practices with other maintenance team members. Food Safety and Quality : Understand, participate in, and support all food safety and quality programs at the Milton site, ensuring all products meet GMP and food safety requirements.
Additional Duties : Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications - Must Haves : A college or trade school diploma / license for 433A Millwright.
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship and possession of a valid Millwright license or equivalent certification in a related mechanical trade.
