Primary Objective of the Position :

The Fleet Engineer position is a supporting role within aircraft maintenance & engineering. The primary responsibility of the person in this position is to support and assist the Manager of Engineering to effectively manage and monitor the day-to-day fleet aircraft maintenance requirements ensuring that both technical dispatch and operational efficiencies are met in accordance with Cargojets MCM / MPM Manual & Technical documentation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provide initial assessment for Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives
• Evaluation and preparation of cost / benefit analysis for Service Bulletins and other technical information.
• To disseminate technical information to staff as required through implementation of fleet campaigns.
• To provide technical support to MCC and too provide technical input to Material Control for Rotable repair work scopes.
• To assist in work specification development for engine shop visits coordination and oversight of heavy maintenance activities.
• To provide assistance to the Reliability Program and provide delay analysis and corrective action programs.
• To provide technical input to Planning for heavy maintenance.
• Assist with aircraft weight and balance control & with maintaining NAV / DATA / GPS Terrain Data and ELT databases.
• To assist in aircraft modification programs special projects and fleet acquisitions.
• To assist with revisions to Minimum Equipment List (MEL) manuals as required.
• Assist in preparing Quarterly ETOPS reporting to Boeing.
• Be knowledgeable with all company and government manuals / documents pertaining to the work.
• Communicate with Duty Managers and Maintenance senior Management.
• Responsible for your training remain current with all technical and regulatory training requirements to function in the assigned role
• Ensure a clean and safe workplace for team members.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Management System (SMS) and safety / security policies procedures and standards.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering or Manager of Engineering.
