We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our warehouse.
This is a permanent part-time position with flexible hours.
Duties :
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect packages for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Sort, label, and organize incoming goods in designated storage areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer orders
- Utilize shipping software to pack & fill orders.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
Experience :
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or shipping / receiving environment is preferred
- Familiarity with e-commerce order fulfillment processes is a plus
- Ability to accurately package items and perform basic math calculations for order accuracy
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including order picking and packing
Skills :
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move packages up to 23 kg
