In this position, you’ll join a driven and supportive Canadian Refining Document Control team, contribute to important documentation projects, and gain valuable skills that support a strong career foundation.
The team is seeking a student to support the organization and management of engineering drawings and project documentation with the Canadian Refining Document Control team. You will work with Tech Docs to verify engineering drawing completeness and with SharePoint / EDMS to ensure accuracy and accessibility of controlled documents. This hands on position provides practical experience in document control and information management within an industrial environment.

What you’ll do
Review and compare engineering drawing binders to digital records in Tech Docs.
Identify missing drawings and upload them into Tech Docs to maintain a complete and accurate repository.
Upload and organize documents in SharePoint and EDMS, ensuring correct locations and metadata.
Consolidate duplicate or outdated documents to improve structure, navigation, and accessibility.
Support additional document control and information management tasks as needed.
Collaborate with team members to help streamline and improve document control processes.
Who you are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications :
Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
Available to begin work in May 2026
Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with SharePoint, EDMS, Tech Docs, and Adobe Acrobat is an asset.
Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks

Education
Must be enrolled in a Document Control / Records Management, Information Management, Professional Administration, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Commerce Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
