Farm Labour Supervisor / Assistant Grower

Job Details : Full Time

Monday to Saturday 8 : 00am to 5 : 00 pm 24.00 / hr

Co-ordinate, assign and supervise farm workers

Assist with growing and other crop related operations

Train farm workers

Ensure farm safety / food safety procedures are followed

Maintain quality control and production records

May perform general farm duties

Assist with and operate general farm equipment and maintenance of equipment and tools

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

College or diploma program or equivalent

2 years experience in a greenhouse environment

Physical Abilities :

Able to lift heavy material (up to 23 kg / 50lbs)

Able to climb and stand on feet for extended period of time

Work in temperature controlled environment of approximately 25C

Must be able to bend, twist, stretch or reach with body, arms and / or legs

Job Requirements :

The incumbent will be committed to customer service excellence and leading by example. A positive attitude in the workplace is required as is the ability to adhere to all human resources, operational and food / health & safety procedures.
