Job Description
We’re seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented French and Spanish copy editor to join our marketing operations team and support our global wealth and asset management business.
The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and adherence to financial industry best practices, corporate messaging, and in-house style guides and be able to translate English to all French for a Quebec audience and English to Spanish for a U.
S. audience. The copy editor will have a strong command of the French and Spanish languages, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of linguistic nuances.
Key responsibilities
- Proofread and copyedit French and Spanish translations for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and adherence to corporate messaging and style guides
- Confirm the precision of translated material and make necessary copyedits to ensure accuracy and fluency
- Ensure consistency in terminology, tone, and style across all translations
- Collaborate with content creators and marketing to provide feedback and ensure high-quality, culturally appropriate translations
- Maintain a strong understanding of the French language in Canada, particularly Quebec, and adapt translations accordingly
- Develop and maintain French language resources, including glossaries and style guides, to support translation consistency
- Review keyword strategies for web content to be sure the translation captured the essence from an SEO perspective
Requirements
- Fluency in English, French, and Spanish, with excellent written communication skills in all three languages and a deep understanding of linguistic nuances and cultural context
- Strong understanding of the French language in Canada, particularly Quebec
- Proven experience in proofreading and copyediting French and Spanish translations in a professional setting
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional grammar and spelling skills in French and Spanish
- Strong organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to reprioritize
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with content and marketing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in the financial industry or wealth and asset management and / or familiarity with financial industry-specific terminology and corporate messaging is a plus

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Toronto, Ontario
Salary range is expected to be between
$60,000.00 CAD - $100,000.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.
