What you can expect to do here :
Strategic & Technical Leadership
Lead all RAMS activities for commuter rail, light rail, high‑speed, and subway projects.Develop and implement Safety Management Systems and RAMS plans.Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and assurance audits.Plan reliability, maintainability, and life‑cycle cost forecasting.Support incident, emergency, and operational risk planning.Communicate across disciplines (architectural, mechanical, electrical, track, traction power, signalling, communications, rolling stock).Team Leadership & Mentorship
Mentor professional engineers and lead multidisciplinary teams.Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior staff.Promote a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders on RAMS and life‑cycle cost matters.Facilitate resolution of complex technical issues and balance client expectations.Represent WSP in meetings, industry forums, and audits.Project & Resource Management
Plan and manage RAMS deliverables, including scope, schedule, and budget.Integrate RAMS requirements into overall project execution.Drive incident management planning and emergency response strategies.Organizational Impact
Shape RAMS practices, develop standards, processes, and tools.Champion innovation and new methodologies.What you’ll bring to WSP
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license or eligibility for registration.10+ years of RAMS / System Assurance technical leadership experience in the rail industry.Specialization in at least one key rail systems area (e.g., electrical, mechanical, train control / signalling).Strong understanding of CENELEC, CMREA, MIL‑STD requirements.Experience with requirements management, validation / verification, testing, commissioning, and trial running (plus).Experience with Safety Assessment (plus).Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.About WSP
