Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for an Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at our Sherwood Park office. Are you looking for a dynamic environment that offers individual growth and learning opportunities?

This position is perfect for a talented individual with strong financial management and reporting experience, who brings excellent collaboration skills with various internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the VP of Finance to ensure effective finance reporting and administrative processes.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in interpreting client contracts and translating them into financial processes.
  • Analyzing financial statements and reports.
  • Performing research and analysis required by leadership across Canada.
  • Developing financial models and prepare projections for Canada.
  • Effectively communicate and interpret financial information to non-financial colleagues.
  • Provide accounting support across Canada.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly closings.
  • Oversee, review, adjust, implement, and train on financial administrative processes.
  • Manage, coach, and develop financial and administrative personnel.
  • Maintain a high level of professional communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation, with a minimum of 5 years of financial management experience in a related industry.
  • Understanding of contractual obligations and ability to adhere to them.
  • Competence in manual and automated accounting control systems.
  • Thorough understanding of organizational priorities and necessary financial program supports.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and inspire others to embrace change and adapt to new processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate financial initiatives to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial experience.
  • Effective teamwork skills and the ability to develop productive working relationships.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex accounting and auditing principles.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, MAS, MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
