Sensity has an opportunity for an Communications and Event Coordinator to join our team in Paris, ON. This is a full time 12 month contract position with the possibility for extension. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, t his creative position is responsible for the planning, promotion, and execution of awareness, fundraising, and special events for Sensity, as well as the creation and distribution of internal and external communications. The role also involves maintaining and developing content for Sensity's website, social media platforms, e-newsletter, and print materials in consultation with the Chief Administrative Officer.
Key Accountabilities
- Plans, promotes, and executes all aspects of Sensity awareness, and special events from inception to execution; actively solicits sponsorship and donations for events.
- Maintains and updates the Sensity website and creates content for Sensity's social media platforms and monthly e-newsletter.
- Designs and creates event web pages to enhance engagement and promote upcoming events.
- Produces dynamic video content for online and social media use, including editing and post-production work.
- Monitors the website for AODA and WCAG compliance requirements.
- Coordinates and carries out daily internal, external, and social media communication activities and monitors their effectiveness through analytics.
- Investigates and researches awareness opportunities across the province that align with Sensity's strategic plan.
- Creates print materials for the organization, including brochures and reports.
- Develops and maintains relationships with community partners and external stakeholders.
- Help plan, write, edit and post content on behalf department heads and the executive leadership team for a variety of internal communications vehicles including but not limited to : Intranet, email, newsletters, internal social media, town halls, and annual meetings.

Position Requirements
Qualifications
Community college diploma in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or event management.Valid driver's license is required.3-5 years of related experience working in event planning public relations or communications. Not for profit experience is an asset.Experience working with multi-media equipment (e.g., video camera, DSLR camera, audiovisual equipment) is required.Knowledge of website management, including AODA and WCAG compliance.Ability to interact and communicate tactfully, professionally, and effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is an asset.In-depth oral and written communication skills, with a strong client service orientation. Ability to communicate in both English and French is an asset.Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suites and / or Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) coding. Solid knowledge of web development software, graphic design, Adobe Creative Suites, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, WordPress, and video editing software are required.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Solid time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.Working Environment and Demands
The position is performed in a hybrid setting, with a combination of work from and the head office. There will be an occasional requirement to attend community events and meetings.Occasional requirement for multi-tasking and managing simultaneous urgent demands or deadlines.Incidental or no significant health hazards, risks or adverse environmental conditions are present in the job. Normal office environment.Salaried position based on 40 hours / week, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work for events.
