Responsibilities
Focus on front counter customer service and sales utilizing your previous automotive parts / service and wheel / tire experienceRecommend vehicle service, provide service quotes, and receive customer authorization for work to be performedShare product knowledge and technical expertise to provide excellent customer service on the front counterAssist with the completion of an annual budget; this includes forecasting revenue and expenditures, accurately tracking budget numbers with particular attention to achieving operational benchmarksRecruit and develop a team of Associates dedicated to providing a superior customer experienceSupervise and motivate associates to ensure maximum productivityEnsure all safety policies and procedures are implementedAssist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory countsAssist in identifying and following up on outstanding accounts receivable / credit clientsEnsure store associates have completed all assigned training; providing feedback and reinforcement as requiredAttentively handle customer complaints within a reasonable timeframe and maintain documentation of complaints and resolutionsQualifications
Completion of high school diploma or GED and a post-secondary diploma, degree, or certification is preferredAt least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry is required; Commercial / Farm tire experience is an assetPrevious experience as an assistant manager, service writer or service manager is an assetProven leadership ability and previous people management experience (recruitment / discipline) is an assetStrong computer skillsAbility to set goals and achieve resultsMaintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstractEffective communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers and teamOrganizational and time management skills in order to prioritize competing demandsAt Fountain Tire, you’d have a great place to work!
