Assistant Manager (High River) – Fountain Tire

Responsibilities

  • Focus on front counter customer service and sales utilizing your previous automotive parts / service and wheel / tire experience
  • Recommend vehicle service, provide service quotes, and receive customer authorization for work to be performed
  • Share product knowledge and technical expertise to provide excellent customer service on the front counter
  • Assist with the completion of an annual budget; this includes forecasting revenue and expenditures, accurately tracking budget numbers with particular attention to achieving operational benchmarks
  • Recruit and develop a team of Associates dedicated to providing a superior customer experience
  • Supervise and motivate associates to ensure maximum productivity
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are implemented
  • Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
  • Assist in identifying and following up on outstanding accounts receivable / credit clients
  • Ensure store associates have completed all assigned training; providing feedback and reinforcement as required
  • Attentively handle customer complaints within a reasonable timeframe and maintain documentation of complaints and resolutions

    • Qualifications

  • Completion of high school diploma or GED and a post-secondary diploma, degree, or certification is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry is required; Commercial / Farm tire experience is an asset
  • Previous experience as an assistant manager, service writer or service manager is an asset
  • Proven leadership ability and previous people management experience (recruitment / discipline) is an asset
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to set goals and achieve results
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers and team
  • Organizational and time management skills in order to prioritize competing demands
