We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with proven Project Engineering experience that can immediately deploy their skills to support the management of our WHP project opportunities. This opportunity aims to evolve into a Senior Project Engineer position supporting multiple projects.
Reporting to the Director of Projects, the Project Engineer will execute Waste Heat to Power (WHP) and other decarbonization projects for Kanin.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible to drive execution of project development through project scope definition, FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning
- Plan, coordinate, track, & manage all project activities
- Run internal and external project meetings
- Support the Project Manager’s accountability to professionally own primary contact with client partners, project financiers, vendors / suppliers, EP / EPC execution partners, service providers, etc.
- Manage external resources including any of engineering firms, EPCs, specialist contractors, logistics / transportation specialists, construction contractors, etc.
- Develop and manage key project documentation including action tracker, project charter, cost estimate, spend profile, schedules, interconnection applications, vendor RFQs, third-party engineering services, grant applications, procurement deliverables, construction deliverables, commissioning plans, etc.
- Prepare and present weekly reports on project status to client partners
Ideal Candidate :
8+ years of relevant project management experienceElectrical engineer (Canadian or American Professional Engineer or P.Eng.)Experience coordinating projects, coordinating project teams, managing multiple stakeholders, and driving project successExperienced and knowledgeable with electrical interconnection & electrical system studiesExperienced and knowledgeable with gas turbine power or compression projectsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related Master’s DegreeStrong technical background and familiarity with project document review, engineering document control processes, project approval processes, etc.Self-driven person with strong analytic & problem-solving skillsDemonstrates extreme ownership of their work and projectsExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and stakeholdersCapability and ability for travel to project and partner sites across USA (primarily) and CanadaAdditional Assets / Differentiators :
