Job Description Wireless Telecom Lead Hand
Summary :

Requirements ( Job Duties) :
- Ability to lead, coach, and train junior staff on telecommunications infrastructure construction. Rooftops, Monopoles, Self Support, Guyed Towers and In-Building solutions
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings with high level of attention to detail.
- Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrate autonomy in day to day tasks.
- Maintains a strong commitment to safety and working knowledge of standard industry safetyprocedures. Follow all documented policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself andyour co-workers.
- Willing and able to travel out of town for multiple weeks at a time with minimal notice (24-48 Hours notice)
- On-call duties as assigned.

- Ability to communicate complex challenges with clarity.
- Willing and able to travel within Canada.
Experience :
- 2+ Years of telecommunications industry experience both technical and rigging.
- Experience with working at heights up to 500 feet.
- In-building DAS and structured cabling experience.
- Installation of carrier grade equipment adhering to all documented methods of procedure.
- Cable installation with the use of Ladders / Scaffold / Aerial work platforms
- Installation and Erection of communication towers of up to 300’ self support towers.
- Tower and Shelter foundation work including underground utilities, power distribution, telephone and fiber optic transport cables.
- Structural knowledge of proper bolt torque, tools, methods, and testing.
- Solid background of construction and working with various types of power tools.
- Proficient with common telecommunications test equipment. (RF Sweep Gear (VSWR / RL), Fiber Optic OTDR, Antenna Alignment Azimuth tools)
- Understanding of RF connector termination with various types of cables and connectors.
Certifications (On the job training provided Employer Paid)
- First Aid
- Fall Protection
- High Angle Rescue
- CSTS
- Forklift Operator certificate
- Aerial Work Platform Operator certificate.
Conditions of Employment
- Must hold a valid class 5 driver’s licence.
- Canadian Criminal Record Check
- Willing to work out of town based on customers needs
