What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer specialized in AWS to join our team. This role is crucial for deploying and maintaining our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system on AWS, ensuring optimal performance and security.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies and modern deployment practices, with some familiarity surrounding software development, agile methodologies, and cloud security best-practices.

Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud solutions to support enterprise-wide ERP systems.
• Deploy and maintain scalable microservices architectures and various APIs.
• Manage infrastructure deployment using common utilities (Terraform, AWS CDK, etc)
• Implement and maintain CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins and other toolchains to automate deployment and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with product teams to adopt Agile methodologies and ensure continuous integration and delivery.
• Conduct security design reviews, threat modeling, and maintain security standards.
• Optimize application performance through effective system design and performance tuning.

Required Skills and Technologies :

• Cloud Platforms : Deep familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and similar cloud environments.
• Containerization Tools : Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization / virtualization tools.
• Version Control : Proficient with Git or similar centralized source code repositories.
• API Tools : Experience with Swagger, Postman for API testing and development.
• Database Management : Knowledge in database technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, database schema design, and performance tuning preferred, but not required.
• Development Practices : Solid understanding of Agile development processes, CI / CD, and DevSecOps practices.
• Programming Languages : Proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, or Bash scripting is desired, but not mandatory.
• Security Tools : Familiarity with built-in AWS security tools as well as container security tools
• ERP : Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools such as QAD is highly desired, but accommodations may be made in favor of other experience.

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience as a cloud engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS deployments.
