Children and Family Support, Community Support Worker
Job Summary : On both an individual and group basis, the Community Support Worker supports the quality of life for the children and youth we serve by ensuring that their physical, social, vocational, educational and medical needs are met. The Community Support Worker participates as part of the team responsible for implementing all aspects of the participants program, including agency policies, procedures and philosophy.

Requirements of the job :
A Community Support Worker Certificate, or equivalent education and experienceThree months experience delivering similar services supporting individuals with disabilities in community settingsValid First Aid, WHMIS and CPR certificationCurrent and satisfactory criminal record searchUnrestricted Class IV driver license; own vehicleand driver's abstract, a physicians health reference,A negative TB testExperience with Children and youth preferredExperience using Microsoft Office suite, preferredAdditional information :
The successful applicant will begin employment at theCFS program : Monday - Thursday : 15 : 00 17 : 30 and Friday 15 : 00 19 : 00.The CFS program schedule flexes with the school calendar. It is also closed on stats and for two weeks during the school year. The CFS staff work 30 hours / week for 9 weeks in July-August to cover summer programming and an additional 2 weeks to cover Spring Break.This position is open to both male and female applicants and requires Union membership.May be required to use a personal vehicleSuccessful applicants will be required to obtain a Class 4 driver's license in order to pass the trial period
