Key Responsibilities

• Be able to keep an open and objective mind, remembering the city’s diverse community.
• Assist visitors and employees during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed.
• Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly.
• Enthusiastically conduct proactive patrols (exterior and interior), and be able to address policy breaches and note facility concerns.
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner so as not to create panic among the public.
• Ability to de‑escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire and paramedic resources.
• Handle lost & found items and inquiries.
• Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person.
• Maintain positive and constructive relationships with the Client’s staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required.
• Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client; City of Windsor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the city.

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C.

Valid Ontario Security Licence.
