Construction Inspector

Overview

McElhanney is seeking a Construction Inspector for the Municipal Division in the Lower Mainland. The role focuses on on-site inspection of municipal roadwork and utility projects, ensuring quality, safety, and alignment with project specifications and schedules.

What You’ll Do

• Provide on-site contractor inspection for municipal roadwork and utility projects, monitor quality and progress, and prepare daily inspection reports.
• Maintain inventories of bid item quantities and assist with payment authorizations.
• Identify field and design issues, facilitate corrective measures, and perform constructability reviews.
• Ensure the team is motivated and on track, project deadlines are met within budget, and quality meets or exceeds client expectations.
• Learn and understand the construction process, including the specifications and requirements of the work being inspected.
• Understand hazards and safe work procedures for each task and inspection location.

What Can We Offer You

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per annum. McElhanney offers compensation commensurate with education, experience, skills, and qualifications. Base salary is representative of the required qualifications; final offer based on experience.

This role is designated as a safety-sensitive position.
