Job Description
KeyResponsibilities :
This key new person will beresponsible for the management andcontrol of Quality Systems and processes. Also the technical support of the Quality Assurance function to ensurethe maintenance and enhancement of the product and processing performance ofthe plant.
Key tasks will include :
- Quality principles and procedures are applied and delivered safely.
- Ensure concerns are fully investigated and corrective / preventive actionsare
implemented using recognized problem solving techniques.
- Process FMEAs are established, maintained and updated.
- Implement SPC techniques to key process parameters.
- Manage the customer qualification process.
- Quality activities are carried out by appropriately trained and competent
people.
- Ensure full Quality records are available.
- Feedback to production of product quality issues and trends.
- Ensure non-conforming product control procedures are applied.
- Ensure routine and additional product audits are carried.
- Attend customer premises to assess nature of quality issues, agree resolution
and ensure effective concern feedback to customer.
Ideal Qualifications :
- Detailed experience andunderstanding of the automotive industry
- Provenleadership / management experience of 10 + quality personnel
- A working knowledge ofquality system TS16949 is essential.
- Application of FMEAs,control plans.
- Implementation and use ofSPC techniques.
- Knowledge of approvalprocesses such as PPAP & APQP.
- Knowledge of problemsolving techniques and experience in leading problem solving teams.
- Technical knowledge andexperience of production capability manufacturing processes, fault detectionand rectification, quality and process control in a customer focusedenvironment.
