Cell Test Engineer

We are looking for a Cell Test Engineer to work in Windsor Ontario.

The North America Battery Test Lab is seeking Cell Test Engineers responsible for battery cell level performance testing to support our strong Electric Vehicle portfolio. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to contribute to a world-class battery lab from the launch stage all the way to the full operation.

Initially the role will be focused on training, documentation and launch of the lab; will be required to complete all needed training and follow all lab safety processes and procedures.

The role will be responsible for developing work procedures for all standard work associated with cell testing, conforming to existing safety standards, developing test scripts and report templates, working on the commissioning of cell testing equipment of the new battery lab.

After the launch of the lab, the role responsibilities would shift to execution and analysis of cell tests, focusing on obtaining the highest quality of data in the most efficient manner possible. Cell Test Engineers will work with lab technicians on test preparation, test setup, test execution and post-test battery handling. The role will be responsible for the creation of a formal test report at the completion of testing as well as any intermediate reports to the test requestors as requested on running or issue status.

• Complete required training; follow safety requirements
• Work on test preparation and setup
• Develop and validate test scripts and reports
• Ensure hardware and software support needs are addressed during installation of equipment
• Support the commissioning of cell test equipment

Technically sound on typical concepts in fields of Electrical Engineering + Batteries

Good communication + general interpersonal skills

Experience working with testing equipment and general battery testing procedures

How many years of experience are you looking for (if different than the job description) : Typical is years minimum for battery testing.

Onsite - % at Automotive Research & Development Centre (ARDC)

Does this position require driving a Stellantis vehicle? (Examples : Testing / Driving on a Track / Moving vehicle throughout the facility / Moving vehicle to another plant location) : No.

Amount of travel, (if so, where) : Other than travel to testing lab, no travel otherwise required.
