Camera Assembly Contractor (30‑40 hours per week, 3‑month term)

Key Responsibilities :
- Assemble and configure camera systems using off‑the‑shelf and custom components
- Operate a custom calibration machine
- Use Linux for basic system configuration and testing
- Maintain documentation, logs, and weekly status reports using Microsoft Office
- Take ownership of product quality and ensure assemblies meet specifications
- Coordinate shipments and manage shipping schedules
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels; flag low stock proactively
- Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve assembly‑related issues
- Identify and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and quality in the build process
Requirements :
Proven mechanical assembly experience, preferably with cameras or precision hardwareWorking knowledge of Linux is helpfulProficient with Microsoft ExcelOrganized, reliable, and able to work independentlyDemonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver high‑quality resultsExperience coordinating shipments and managing stock levelsExcellent communication and problem‑solving skillsPreferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with custom calibration or testing equipmentPrevious contractor or independent technician experienceComfort with continuous improvement and process optimization practicesEstimated Hours : 20–40 hours per week
Rate : $24CAD / hour
