Electrical Project Manager

The Electrical Project Manager manages project portfolios, client relationships, and provides technical oversight for Electrical Building Systems engineering for Commercial Buildings. Responsibilities include senior-level electrical engineering, fee proposals, budgeting, team coordination, site review, among other responsibilities.

The firm is a US-based, international consulting firm. This is a large, corporate environment where the engineer works with stakeholders across the organization to coordinate and complete projects. This role works with their internal consulting team on multi-discipline buildings engineering projects across Canada.

This role is hybrid 3x weekly out of the company's Markham office.

Salary : $115,000 to $135,000

Logistics : Hybrid

Here’s what you’ll be doing

• Responsible for managing multiple electrical design projects, including 1) overall project scope and deliverables, 2) CAD deliverables, and 3) project budgets and financials.
• Manage project portfolios and client relationships for electrical systems engineering in commercial buildings, including both new construction, retrofit, and tenant projects.
• Feasibility research and design of building electrical systems : power distribution, utilities connections, lighting, controls, emergency power, life-safety systems, fire alarms, renewable power generation and storage.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and architects to develop detailed designs.
• Electrical design to support tenant and mechanical system upgrades.
• From project initiation to completion, support the team by providing equipment selections, cost and timing, estimates, reports, design specifications and drawings for building electrical systems.
