Financial Analyst
Strategic finance role within an international insurance environment located in downtown Montreal, operating under a hybrid model. Reporting to the Controller, the professional contributes to financial forecasting, accounting system implementation, and budget analysis, with strong exposure to senior management and special projects.

- Permanent full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
- Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. or 9 am. to 5 pm.
- Hybrid work arrangement : 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities :
Participate in the implementation of a new accounting system, ensuring smooth integration and optimal efficiency.Actively contribute to the budgeting process and the development of financial plans that support organizational performance.Prepare and project quarterly forecasts to provide strategic insights to management.Ensure the accuracy of financial data by rigorously reviewing reports, including Top Line reporting.Contribute to the implementation and improvement of financial reporting standards.Perform monthly variance analyses to ensure the reliability and relevance of financial reports.Analyze financial statements, including year-to-date results, prior year comparisons, and budget.Evaluate internal requests to ensure report accuracy and timely payment processing.Ensure all financial deliverables are completed within established deadlines.Support various special projects and perform other related duties in collaboration with the finance team.What you will need to succeed :
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another related field deemed equivalent.Relevant professional designation, considered an asset.2 years of experience in a financial analysis role or in a similar capacity.Experience or knowledge of the insurance industry, considered an asset.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.Bilingual in English and French to collaborate with stakeholders and produce financial reports in both languages.Strong analytical, critical thinking, and synthesis skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective partnerships.Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Strong planning and organizational skills.High attention to detail with a positive and proactive attitude.Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to unforeseen circumstances.Why Recruit Action?
