Sullivan + Associates Clinical Psychology is a full-service psychology clinic with 65 employees and associates focused on providing assessment, psychotherapy / counselling, consultation and workshop services.
During the past 18 years, we have been proud to provide these services to over 40,000 children, adolescents, and adults in Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario.
As pertains to assessment services for adult clients, we have worked with numerous public agencies since our inception in 2007, including assessment contract work with WSIB, Veteran Affairs, NorWest Community Health Centre (FASD assessments) and the Northern Ontario Assessment Resource Centre - NOARC (assessment work for Lakehead University and Confederation College), as well as with over 30 Indigenous communities.
We offer a wide range of assessment services including psychological, psychoeducational, ADHD, Autism and Neuropsychological assessments.
At our clinic, we take a team-approach to assessments, as there is an Assessment department that completes intakes and carries out all administrative aspects related to the assessment process (i.
e., sending the referral package, booking interviews and feedbacks, tracking progress, billing, following-up on missing questionnaires, etc.
Psychometrists complete testing locally and within the surrounding area and several senior psychometrists are available to write reports (i.
e., Psychoeducational, ADHD assessments) for Psychologists who are interested in collaborating on reports.
At our clinic, we are interested in hiring a Clinical Psychologist / Psychological Associate on a subcontract basis to provide psychological assessments for adults in the areas of mental health, learning and ADHD.
Experience with assessing autism and / or neuropsychological assessments would also be beneficial.
The successful candidate would work collaboratively with a Psychometrist who would complete the psychological testing. Report writing would be completed by the Psychologist or by the Psychometrist, with the Psychologist editing the report.
At Sullivan + Associates Clinical Psychology, there are 4 Psychologists and 4 Psychological Associates who provide assessment services for adults, so there are numerous opportunities for consultation or collaboration.
Our ideal candidate would be able to work virtually to complete their duties (i.e., file review, clinical interview, test interpretation, report writing / editing, feedback).
An Associate Psychologist / Psychological Associate would be paid on a per assessment basis with rates varying based on the type of assessment and desire to write the report.
Hours are highly flexible, as many aspects of an assessment, with the exception of the time scheduled for the clinical interview and feedback meeting, can be completed whenever it fits into the assessor’s schedule.
On average, psychological reports are expected to be completed and a feedback meeting scheduled within 1-2 weeks of the clinical interview being completed.
For more specialized assessments, such as psychoeducational, ADHD, Autism and Neuropsychological assessments, reports are expected to be completed and a feedback meeting scheduled within 6 weeks of the clinical interview being completed.
We are interested in a Psychologist / Psychological Associate with a minimum of 2 years assessment experience in the areas of mental health, learning and ADHD.
We also interested in reports that are written in language that is reader-friendly, concise and strength-based.
