Cost Controller – Nuclear New Build Project

Contract Type : PAYE (Inside IR35)

Salary : Starting range from £60,000 per annum

Duration : Minimum 2 years, likely extending up to 5 years

Start Date : ASAP

Working Pattern : Full-time, site-based, day shifts

The Role : We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join a major nuclear new build project. This is a long-term opportunity on one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure projects, offering excellent stability and the chance to be part of a programme that will run for several years. The successful candidate will be fully site-based and will play a key role in cost management, forecasting, and financial control across designated work packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, control and report project costs in line with budgets and forecasts
• Produce accurate cost reports, cash flow forecasts and variance analysis
• Support the preparation of monthly cost reports and management information
• Work closely with project managers, engineers and commercial teams to ensure cost discipline is maintained
• Track commitments, accruals and actuals against budget
• Assist with change control, trends and risk / opportunity management
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures and nuclear governance requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cost control processes and reporting
